"Pearl Creek" is the name of a small town
in upstate New York, and as the idea of the layout was to emulate the Great
Lakes region of the state, we thought the name "Niagara (for the region)
& Pearl Creek" had a nice sound to it. It's the kind of area
that could have seen motive power from various areas, being surrounded
by the Pennsy, O&W, D&H, & Boston & Albany to name a few.
Anyhow, this area depicts a quiet part of the layout, although part of
the busier "Amherst" is pictured in the background as the layout transitions
from one scene to another.
